Untappd and Louisiana Brewery Trail Join Forces to Create Louisiana Badges

These are exciting times when it comes to beer in Louisiana.  Slowly but surely we are getting more local breweries and the breweries we already have are pumping out some seriously amazing suds!

In September of last year the Louisiana State Office of Tourism announced the Louisiana Brewery Trail which highlights Louisiana's craft breweries.  Well now Untappd, the social networking site that keeps tabs of what you're drinking and where has partnered with the Louisiana Brewery Trail to create some unique Louisiana badges.  Check it out!

From Untappd

Known as a top culinary destination, the state of Louisiana’s mix of cultures and vast array of flavors have helped lead its edible revolution. Now, a new revolution has taken root in the cities and bayous across the Pelican State — one filled with locally sourced ingredients and bold brews. Craft breweries across the state have been taking their beers to the next level, providing a unique look — and sip — into the state’s unique heritage. The Louisiana State Office of Tourism encourages you to partake in the local flavors that are the foundation for this craft beer revolution.

In partnership with the Louisiana Brewery Trail, we’re excited to bring you some exciting new promotions, encouraging you to check out some brews from the bayou. Starting February 24th and running through the end of the year, we have a pair of brand new badges for you to unlock.

Favorite Mardi Gras Parade Spot

Mardi Gras is here ya'll!!!  We already talked about what you're drinking during Mardi Gras but where are you drinking it?  Of course we all know that once you've lived here long enough and have done Mardi Gras enough times you tend to develop a favorite spot.  Usually your "spot" will have access to bathroom, food and more importantly beer.

I have a kid so I tend to find a more "kid friendly" area.  There is spot on Napoleon which has a school(St Stephens Catholic) across the street which sells bathroom passes as well as food and drink passes.  If I'm wanting some craft beer I'm bringing my own when I hit this spot.  I have another spot but I can't give it away!

I'm curious though.  What's your favorite spot and why?  Looking forward to hearing your spots!

Cheers!
